Hybridization
User-developed Hybridization Protocols
ULS™ labeled miRNA can be used in combination with any microarray platform. Please refer to the table below for information about your platform of choice. Some platforms have not been tested as yet: please let us know your microarray platform of choice (techservices@kreatech.com) so that we can guide your experiments

Platform compatibility of ULS labeled miRNA, and use of KREAblock
(n/d: not determined).
(*) Protocol in development.
(**) Note that the different hybridization protocols define the need of KREAblock here: hybridization at 42°C in Ambion hybridization solution needs addition of KREAblock, but hybridization on an LNA platform at 60ºC does not need KREAblock.
KREAblock
KREAblock is a unique blocking solution that is used to reduce background on the microarray. Although KREAblock is provided in the kits, our initial experiences with several platforms (Table above) indicate that KREAblock is often not needed: it is advised to use KREAblock only when high background levels are obtained.
Note that KREAblock should be used as an additional reagent: it is not a substitute for the regular blockers in the hybridization mixture.
