CA 125 Antigen (Ovary)

Host: Mouse, Isotype: IgG1, Clone: TA347

FP RC

Mouse anti-CA 125 stained ovarian carcinoma.

This monoclonal antibody reacts with the ovarian cancer antigen 125 (CA 125 antigen). MAbs to the CA 125 antigen have been employed extensively in studies of ovarian cancer. CA 125 is found in most non-mucinous epithelial ovarian carcinomas, serous and endometriod adenocarcinomas, Krukenberg’s tumor, and uterine myoma. Mucinous tumors and normal ovarian epithelium are usually negative for CA 125. The serum level of CA 125 has been shown to rise with progression of metastatic ovarian tumor or evidence of recurrence.
Immunogen source: Affinity-purified CA 125 protein. Positive tissue: Ovarian carcinoma/adenocarcinoma. Expected staining pattern: Membrane.
